Conceptual topographical abstract paintings and limited edition prints of the USA by artist Peter Betts.
Married to screenwriter / novelist Pat Silver-Lasky, the couple decided to head for Pat’s homeland and left London, England for Orange County in 2009.
Peter’s career took him from the drawing board on projects such as Concorde to Marketing Manager for international concerns: Philips, Bosch and Sanyo.
During this time he painted and sold over 400 watercolors echoing the Chinese style of brushwork and subjects: horses, cats and dogs.
He continued to draw as he ran a small advertising/promotion company.
Peter returned to an earlier skill and in the ensuing years supplied cartoons to magazines and newspapers. He has had eight books of cartoons published.
His return to painting with his conceptual abstract paintings of places in the USA is prompted by his love of living in America.
